Velvet Fire Press™ has announced its debut publishing season, unveiling a roster of multicultural romance and romantic suspense titles that the imprint is describing as "a deliberate intervention in a genre that has long underestimated its readers."

The imprint launches with two authors whose work represents the full tonal range of what Velvet Fire intends to publish. Kiku Lani's *Silk & Wildfire* is a love story in the classical tradition — two people, two worlds, and one choice neither expected to face. Lani's prose has the quality of something overheard in a quiet room: intimate, precise, and emotionally inevitable. This is multicultural romance for readers who want the full weight of cultural context alongside the full weight of feeling.

Taryn Devaux enters the imprint from the romantic suspense side, bringing to *Glass House Wives* and *The Devaux Accord* a sensibility that is simultaneously glamorous and deeply unsettling. Devaux's fictional universe — the Glass House Wives world — is built on a single, devastating observation: that the most dangerous prisons are the ones that look like freedom. Her women are brilliant, beautiful, and trapped in structures they helped design.
